President Bola Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu, expressed optimism about the progress made in addressing insecurity across the nation.

Tinubu during his first presidential media chat in Lagos on Monday night, highlighted improvements in the security architecture, emphasizing that Nigerians can now travel by road, a situation that was previously fraught with danger.

According to him, “Today, I have confidence in the security architecture of this country,” he stated.

“You can still travel on the roads. Before now, it was impossible. It takes just one incident to disrupt an organized environment, but we cannot undermine the efforts of our military because of isolated attacks, such as the one on the Brigade Battalion.”

Tinubu urged Nigerians to remain vigilant, noting that both internal and external adversaries are closely observing the nation’s progress.

“You have to be prepared 100 percent, 24 hours a day, to ensure people are safe,” he added.

The president specifically cited improvements in road travel in the northern region, mentioning routes like Kaduna to Kafanchan.

While acknowledging that the roads might not yet be in perfect condition, he assured Nigerians of gradual progress toward a more secure and connected nation.
