Kanayo O Kanayo, a seasoned Nollywood actor, has cautioned parents against accepting cash presents from their kids without first confirming the source.

At a recent event, the actor issued a caution, which was posted on social media.

In a widely shared video, Kanayo pleaded with parents to make it a practice to ask their children questions about where and how they obtain things. She claimed that their careless behavior was causing their kids to develop more twisted ideas.

He counseled parents to exercise caution when receiving pricey presents from their children, particularly if they are not actively engaged in any meaningful activity.

“Your daughter is 20, she is using a phone of N1.5 m, then she gives you N100,000 and you fail to ask questions about the source. You wouldn’t live long.

“That is what is killing a lot of parents. Your son who is not working returns home with some money or a car, and you do not ask questions. I’m warning you,” he said.
