President Bola Tinubu held a closed-door meeting with a delegation of the All Progressives Congress, APC, from Kano State on Thursday.

The APC national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje led the delegation to the meeting which was held at the Presidential Villa.

The meeting also had in attendance the 2023 governorship candidate of the party in Kano State, Nasiru Gawuna.

This is barely a week after the Supreme Court affirmed Abba Yusuf of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, as the governor of Kano State.

In March, power shifted from the APC when Gawuna polled 890,705 votes, behind Yusuf, who the Independent National Electoral Commission declared the winner with 1,019,602 votes.

But, Gawuna contested the results in court which led to the Appeal Court declaring him governor.
