Barely 24 hours after the faction loyal to him won a judicial victory over the control of the House, Governor Siminalayi Fubara Wednesday morning demolished the state assembly.
The governor’s media handlers said the action was taken to enable the state government carry out a comprehensive renovation of the property after it was torched by unknown assailants last month.
Just yesterday, the hitherto factional speaker, loyal to him, Rt. Hon Edison Ehie, was pronounced the authentic speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly by a Rivers State High Court.
