Ghana Must Go’ Bags

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has banned the use of ‘Ghana Must Go’ sacks by passengers at all airports in the country.

The restriction is only for travelers passing through the nation’s international airports, per a circular issued by FAAN and signed by Manager of Airport Services, Henok Gizachew, headlined “Re: Prohibition of Usage of Ghana Must Go.”

According to Gizachew, the sack was outlawed by the authorities because it caused significant losses for the airlines and harm to the conveyor belt equipment at the airport.

He noted that passengers who wish to use ‘Ghana Must Go’ to travel must have the same well-packaged cartons or hardcovers of rectangular size.

The use of the ‘Ghana Must Go’ bags has been attributed to the breakdown of many of the country’s airports’ conveyor belt systems, which has put enormous costs on the shoulders of the airport authority.
