The National Vice Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, South South Zone, Chief Dan Osi Orbih, has congratulated Senator Douye Diri, on his reelection as the governor of Bayelsa State.
In a statement made on Tuesday, Orbih said, “the reelection was a testimony to the fact that Senator Diri made progress in terms of infrastructural development and human capacity building in the state in his first term which necessited his re-election.
“His deserving victory is a show of support from the people and an acknowledgement that he did well in his first term. The governor is an embodiment of peace and stability which the people of Bayelsa State enjoyed in the last four years under his leadership.
“On behalf of the entire members of PDP, South South Zone, I congratulate His Excellency, Senator Diri Douye, on this merited victory.
“It is my firm belief that the governor will use this renewal of his mandate by the Bayelsa State people as a call to do more. I have no doubt at all that he will surpass his achievements in his first term. He will neither break nor betray the trust of the people.”
Chief Orbih added that the victory has shown that the South South Zone is PDP and hope the same electoral victory will be replicated in Edo State next year.
