A former military Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon, has expressed confident that the Trust Fund Bill of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), will be be attended to.

A statement signed by the Director, Press and Public Relations, Eddy Megwa, said Gowon made the observation on Friday in Abuja, when the Director-General of the NYSC, Brigadier-General Yushau Ahmed led some directors, staff and corps members on a visit to celebrate his 89th birthday.

According to the statement, Gowon urged the scheme to be hopeful of the success of the bill and as well, keep the NYSC flag flying with special innovations.

The former military head of state charged the corps members to continue to be disciplined, loyal and patriotic in their service to the country,” the statement explained.
