OAU Confirms Release of Students Arrested by EFCC | METROWATCH

The Public Relations Officer of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Abiodun Olarewaju, has revealed that 58 out of the 69 students of the institution earlier arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have been released.

Olarewaju, who also revealed that the remaining 11 had cases to answer with the anti-graft agency, stated that the release of the students was effected after a meeting between the management of the institution and the EFCC in Ibadan.

Speaking with Newsmen, the university spokesperson, Olarewaju, said the management of the institution would hold a meeting with the EFCC.

He, however, maintained that the university would not stop the anti-graft agency from doing its job
