General Yakubu Gowon, a former head of state, has refuted rumors that he passed away on Monday.
According to Metrowatchxtra.com, the death rumor is presently circulating across all social media channels.
But in a brief statement on Monday evening, his personal media assistant, Adeyeye E. Ajayi, insisted that the former military chief was still alive.
According to Ajayi, Gowon said, “I am still around and well. I am not in a hurry”.
