The Presidential Election Petitions Court (PEPC) sitting in Abuja is scheduled to deliver its judgement on the petitions challenging the election of President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.
The notice of the judgment was communicated by the secretary of the Presidential Election Petitions Court on Monday.
It comes after the Tribunal merged the petitions submitted by various political parties earlier in the year and set the trial schedule.
The Tribunal had also reserved judgment on petitions filed by the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), with the intention to deliver the verdicts on the same day as Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP).
Both Obi and Atiku are challenging INEC’s declaration of Tinubu as President on grounds that the election was riddled with corrupt practices and also that the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate was not qualified to contest.
