The House of Representatives postponed the plenary till September and has already started its yearly break.
After establishing the House Standing Committees on Thursday, Speaker Tajudeen Abbas announced the break.
134 committees were established by Mr. Abbas for the 10th House.
Ado Doguwa, the previous House Leader who resigned in favor of Abbas, was given control of the Committee on Petroleum (Upstream), while Ahmed Idris Wase, the former Deputy Speaker, is in charge of the Federal Character Committee.
Babajimi Benson has been assigned to the Committee on Defence once more, and James Faleke is still in charge of the Finance Committee.
