President Bola Tinubu will, today, inaugurate the National Economic Council (NEC), a news flash by the National Television Authority (NTA), revealed.
The NEC inaugural meeting of the Tinubu administration taking place today is expected to be chaired by the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima.
METROWATCHXTRA.COM reports that NEC is usually headed by nation’s number two man. The Council is domiciled under the Office of the Vice President.
NEC consists of the Vice President as Chairman, the 36 Governors and the Central Bank of Nigeria’s Governor and some selected government officials.
