The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate in Kogi State, Dino Melaye has claimed that God bankrolled his primary election.

This was as Melaye said the anointing oil he gave delegates to drink led to the “magic” of him winning the primary election.

He spoke while appearing on Politics Today, a Channels Television programme on Tuesday.

According to Melaye: “Anyway, I’m not a staff of the EFCC or ICPC. I won’t know if there was money, but at my level, if I cannot finance a primary, then there is a problem somewhere.

“God bankrolled me, I bank with the Almighty God. I gave my delegates anointing oil for mobilisation and it did the magic.

“I just told you that I believe in Phil’ 4:19, that God shall supply all my needs according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus, and I’m telling you that He did it.”
