Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable is out of prison and has since returned home after meeting his bail conditions as outlined by the court.
The singer, whose real is Habeeb Okikiola, was on Monday arraigned in a Magistrate court in Ogun state by the police on charges bothering on assault and theft.
He was, however, granted bail of N300,000 with two sureties with landed properties within the court’s jurisdiction, particularly from his immediate family.
Earlier, the court ruled that the singer be remanded in the Ilaro Correctional Centre while awaiting the terms of his bail to be met.
Counsel to the singer, Adodo Destiny told journalists Monday night that his client has now been released.
“Yes he’s home now. In fact, I am still in his house with my lawyers,” he said.
The singer has equally confirmed his release in a video on Instagram where he appreciated his fans while also saying that he has learnt his lesson.
