Mr. Tony Nwoye of the Labour Party (LP) has won the Anambra North Senatorial District election during the just concluded national assembly elections held on Saturday.

He defeated incumbent Senator Stella Oduah of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former First Lady of the state, Mrs Ebele Obiano of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
