The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has announced that the distribution of Permanent Voters Cards, PVCs, in various Registration Areas/Wards would begin on Friday, January 6, and will continue till January 15.

Mr Mark Usulor, the commission’s Head of Department, Voter Education and Publicity, made this known in a statement published by the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mrs Geraldine Ekelemu, on Thursday.

According to Usulor, from January 16 to 22, PVC collecting from Registration Areas/Wards would be transferred to INEC Local Government offices.

He urged individuals who were unable to obtain their PVCs at the Commission’s LGA offices to take advantage of the new development and do so at the Registration Areas/Wards within the deadlines.

He appealed to all stakeholders to provide a peaceful and enabling environment for the Commission staff to successfully carry out the exercise at the 319 Registration Areas/Wards in the state within the stipulated period.
