2023: Delta CAN Plans 2-day Session with  Oborevwori, Other Gubernatorial Candidates

With barely five months to the 2023 general elections in the country, the leadership of the Delta State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), says it has concluded plans to engage the various Gubernatorial candidates of all the political parties in an interactive session.

The 2-day event, according to the Secretary, State CAN Political strategy and mobilisation committee, Revd. (Prof) Oke Akokotu, would hold on Friday, September 16 and Saturday, September 17, 2022.

In a statement made available to newsmen, the State CAN noted that the event scheduled to hold between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 on Friday and, 9:00 to 2:00 pm on Saturday, would hold at the State CAN secretariat, 77/79, Ambassador Ralph Uwechue Way, Off Okpanam Road, Off High Court Road, Asaba, the state capital.

The statement adds that, while the governorship candidates of the People’s Democratic party (PDP), All Progressives Congress (APC) the Social Democratic party (SDP) the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Labour Party (LP) and the Young Progressives Party (YPP) would feature on Friday, the governorship candidates of other political parties would take their tunes on Saturday.

Further, the statement added that each of the Candidates who would be attended to based on the principle of “first come, first serve”, stressing that the candidates would be given 20 minutes each to address the Delta CAN audience before they would be allowed to entertain questions.
