Governors elected on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) are currently in a closed-door meeting with the party’s national leadership, at the ruling party’s national secretariat, in Abuja.

In attendance at the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) meeting are Governors of Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Kaduna, Nasir El-Rufai, Kano, Umar Ganduje, Plateau, Simon Lalong, Niger, Sani Bello, Nasarawa, Abdullahi Sule, Borno, Babagana Zulum, Gombe, Mohammad Inuwa Yahaya, among others.

The governors had arrived the party’s national secretariat and headed immediately to the NEC Hall of the party to meet with members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).

The meeting may not be unconnected to the controversy rocking the announcement of Senate President Ahamd Lawan as the party’s consensus presidential candidate for the 2023 general elections by the national chairman.
