Suspected thugs have attacked supporters of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, at a campaign rally in Delta State.
The attack happened on Saturday while the supporters were reportedly at the rally ground.
The thugs reportedly attacked the supporters and damaged a vehicle parked near the venue.
Footage of the attack showed people running for safety.
While some supporters were injured in the confusion, others were said to have lost their phones and other belongings while trying to escape.
A voice heard in a video, which has now gone viral, said, “We came here to campaign in peace. We did not come to fight anybody. What happened today is not good for democracy.”
