U.S Deports 3 Million Foreign Nationals in 15 Months

The Donald Trump administration said it has completed 15 consecutive months without releasing a single illegal alien into the United States, while carrying out more than 3 million deportations and tightening visa and citizenship rules.

In a fact sheet released by the Department of State, the administration said the measures were part of efforts to put Americans first and restore the immigration system after what it described as record-shattering illegal immigration under the previous Biden administration.

“President Trump has delivered on his promise to fix the immigration system, prioritize American citizens, and protect U.S. citizenship. The border is sealed. The results are undeniable,” the statement said.

According to the administration, more than 3 million illegal aliens have been deported since President Trump returned to office, including thousands convicted of violent crimes.

It said the government also launched an unprecedented denaturalization surge targeting persons who fraudulently obtained U.S. citizenship. To date, claims have been filed against 88 individuals found to be ineligible for citizenship.

The administration further stated that it has terminated taxpayer-funded benefits for over 1.4 million illegal immigrants improperly receiving public assistance and banned them from more than a dozen taxpayer-funded healthcare programs.

As part of the crackdown, the administration said it paused visa processing for 75 high-risk countries to protect the homeland and deter overstays, and strengthened screening procedures for existing visa programs.

It also said it has moved to purge tens of thousands of illegal aliens from voter rolls in multiple states, arguing that voting was a right reserved only for American citizens.

In addition, the citizenship test was reformed to “better assess aliens’ understanding of American history, government, and values, and better ensure aliens meet all eligibility requirements.”

The statement recalled that in his first week back in office, President Trump signed an Executive Order invoking a crisis at the Southern Border and taking immediate action to end illegal entries.

“For 15 straight months, no illegal aliens have been released into the country,” the administration said.

Recall that the U.S Mission in Nigeria has repeatedly warned Nigerian visa applicants and holders to strictly comply with U.S immigration laws or risk revocation and deportation.

In posts on its official channels, the Mission said visas would be revoked for criminal activity, overstay, fraud, and for engaging in conduct that threatens public safety.

It urged Nigerians to use their visas for the purpose for which they were issued and to depart the U.S before their authorized stay expires.

Immigration remains a central issue in U.S politics ahead of the 2026 midterm elections, with the Trump administration projecting its policies as a restoration of law, order and fiscal discipline.
