Former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, has formally joined Labour Party, LP, to actualise his dream of becoming president in 2023.
This comes barely 48 hours after the former governor withdrew from the race on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and resigned from the party.
Meanwhile, Obi announced his LP membership in a series of tweets on his verified Twitter handle Saturday, and also confirmed by the LP.
The tweets from LP (@Official_LPN) said: “As earlier reported, H.E Peter Obi Joins Labour Party of Nigeria,
“@PeterObi registered as a member of the party on Friday in his ward in Anambra State.
“He is expected to pick the presidential form and contest the party’s presidential primary election next Tuesday.”
