Gov Okpebholo Nominates Kayode as Edo Commissioner-Designate

Until his nomination, Jefferey was an aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Edo State House of Assembly 2027 election, Owan East constituency.

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the nomination of Mr Iriabekhai Kayode Jeffery as a commissioner-designate for the state.

The development was announced in a statement dated May 19, 2026, and signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor.

According to the statement, the nomination will be forwarded to the Edo State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.

The state government described Jeffery as a dedicated and result-driven professional with qualifications in Accounting and a strong commitment to organisational growth and excellence.

“Mr. Iriabekhai Kayode Jeffery is a dedicated and goal-oriented professional with qualifications in Accounting,” the statement said.

“He is widely recognised for his strong commitment to organisational growth and excellence, consistently making positive contributions toward the achievement of corporate goals and delivering remarkable results in assigned responsibilities.”
