The United States Embassy in Nigeria on Monday issued a strong warning to its citizens about a possible terrorist attack targeting U.S. facilities and American-affiliated schools in Nigeria, particularly in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
In a recent security alert posted on its official website, the US advised its citizens in Nigeria to take additional precautions.
The notice urged US citizens in Nigeria to be more security conscious, especially when visiting US diplomatic missions and any US-affiliated schools.
The notice reads, the “US Embassy in Abuja informs US citizens of a possible terrorist threat against US facilities and US-affiliated schools in Nigeria.
“The Embassy recommends that US citizens take additional precautions when travelling to the US Embassy, the US Consulate General in Lagos, and US-affiliated schools, to include varying times and routes”.
