Senate Panel Clears 3 Ambassadorial Nominees

The Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs has approved the appointment of three non-career ambassadors, following a request by President Bola Tinubu.

Those confirmed are Lateef Kayode Kolawole Are from Ogun State, Aminu Muhammad Dalhatu, from Jigawa and Emmanuel Ayodele Oke, from Oyo State.

The ambassadorial nominees were confirmed during a hearing by the panel on Tuesday.

The Senate last week screened and confirmed 68 ambassadorial nominees.

Those confirmed include former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu; former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode; former presidential aide, Reno Omokri; and former Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau.
