Prince Emmanuel Kanu, the brother of the detained Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader Nnamdi Kanu, has raised concerns over the heavy security presence at the separatist’s residence.

Prince Kanu raised the alarm in a post on his official Facebook page on Thursday morning ahead of the long awaited judgment on Kanu’s terrorism-related cases.

He wrote, “Breaking news! Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s family house is currently surrounded by a large number of security agents. We are alerting the whole world”.

Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja, is expected to declare judgement on a series of applications filed by the Federal Government against Kanu today.

The separatist, who has been in custody since 2021 is facing seven terrorism-related charges bordering on alleged incitement, running an unlawful group, and acts threatening national security.
