The Federal Capital Territory Civil Service Commission (FCT-CSC) has disclaimed a job recruitment advertisement.

The advertisement said applicants can apply to fill 3000 vacancies in the FCT civil service.

But the FCT-CSC said the 3000 vacancies advertised are non-existent.

A statement signed by FCT-CSC management described the publication as fake news.

The statement read: “The attention of the Federal Capital Territory Civil Service Commission, FCT-CSC, has been drawn to an Online publication/ advertisement circulating on social media platforms requesting prospective job applicants to apply for a non-existent ‘3,000 job vacancies.’

“We wish to state emphatically that the publication is FAKE NEWS. It is the handiwork of fraudsters who intend to defraud unsuspecting members of the public, especially job seekers.

“The FCT-CSC, therefore, wishes to inform the public to disregard such unauthentic information. It is false and has nothing to do with the FCT -CSC.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the general public can fact-check at the Commission Headquarters:

“FCT Civil Service Commission, APDC Building, Behind Abuja Geographical Information System (AGIS) complex, Central Business District (CBD). Abuja.”
