Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has stated that the country is not backing down on war against Israel.

In a post on X, he stated that the battle against Israel has just began.

He made the statement on his official social media accounts on Tuesday night.

Khamenei accompanied the statement with an image depicting fireballs descending upon an ancient city, signaling a symbolic and potentially grave threat.

“In the name of #Haider, the battle begins,” Khamenei posted in Farsi on X (formerly Twitter), referencing Ali ibn Abi Talib and his historic role in the Battle of Khaybar, a key confrontation in early Islamic history.

The message has raised concerns amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.

The development follows recent remarks by US President Donald Trump, who had earlier described Khamenei as an easy target.

Trump warned that America’s patience with Iran was wearing thin, calling for Iran’s unconditional surrender.

Recall that the recent exchange adds to growing fears of a wider regional conflict as hostilities between Iran and Israel continue to simmer.
