The Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor on International Development Partners, Hon. Collins Edomaruse, has congratulated Hon. Osamwonyi Evbaguehita Atu on his emergence as Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly.
In a congratulatory message on Monday, Hon. Edomaruse, who hails from Orhionmwon East alongside Hon. Atu, described the elevation of the lawmaker as both a personal and collective victory for the people of the constituency.
“As a proud constituent of Orhionmwon East, I extend my warmest congratulations to Hon. Osamwonyi Evbaguehita Atu on your well-deserved emergence as the Deputy Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly,” Edomaruse said.
He praised Atu’s dedication to public service and resilience in leadership, highlighting the symbolic importance of the Deputy Speakership for their community.
“Your elevation to this high office is not just a personal triumph, but a collective victory for the good people of Orhionmwon East—who now see, in your story, the strength of resilience that define our constituency,” he stated.

The Special Adviser also expressed pride in Orhionmwon East’s increasing role in shaping the governance of Edo State, and offered prayers and support to Atu in his new position as deputy speaker.

Your new role brings with it a renewed hope that our communities will continue to witness growth, development, and responsive governance.
