Video: Petrol Tanker Catches Fire in Ibadan

A petrol-laden tanker fell and exploded at Aduloju area along Iwo road/Ojoo end of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

It was gathered that the affected truck fell on Thursday, February 13, 2025, while trying to manoeuvre its way as well as dodge another truck on the pothole-dotted expressway.

The people in the neighbourhood and road users alerted the state fire services in order to avoid the raging fire from being spread to nearby houses.

The General Manager of State Fire Services, Revd. Akinyemi Akinyinka, who confirmed the incident to the Nigerian Tribune said one tanker caught fire but could not ascertain the level of the casualty.

“Our men are at the scene of the incident now. They are managing the result. They are being assisted by the staff of the BOVAS filling station,” he said.
