Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade Asake has officially parted ways with Olamide’s YBNL Nation, confirming speculation surrounding his departure.
Asake announced his exit by releasing his latest single, “Why Love”, under his own label, Giran Republic.
Although rumors of a rift between Asake and Olamide had been circulating, Asake had seemingly silenced them with his previous single, “Military”, which paid homage to Olamide.
Asake initially signed with YBNL Nation in February 2022 and later secured a distribution deal with Empire in July 2022.
Notably, his departure from YBNL does not affect his ongoing partnership with Empire.
