The Presidency has urged Nigerians to watch out for announcements from President Bola Tinubu on moves to cut down government expenses.

Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga stated this in an interview with Arise TV after the president scrapped two ministries on Wednesday.

According to Onanuga, the current administration is concerned about the huge cost of governance, saying the president will drastically cut down some expenses.

“The president will actually be announcing some cuts in government expenses. This started with the ministers.

“It will be dramatic. The move is to show that the government is really serious about reducing the cost of governance.

“The government is going to do a lot of things and from Friday you will hear some of the announcements”, he said.
