The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) is set to celebrate its 35th anniversary and annual convention starting from August 16 – 18, 2024 at the Prayer City, Kilometre 12, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The anniversary ceremony is themed ‘Power from on High’.
Dr. Daniel Olukoya, the General Overseer of the Church, said this at a press conference held on Tuesday at its international headquarters in Onike-Sabo, Yaba, Lagos-Nigeria.
Olukoya, who was represented by the Assistant General Overseer (AGO), Pastor Kehinde Adegbolahan.
He said: “This August 2024, The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries will be 35 years old and we believe it is a landmark worthy of celebration and rejoicing, to the glory of God who doeth wonders.
“Members of the MFM across the seven continents, those at home, and all children of God, believers in Jesus Christ, the son of the living God, are all expected and welcome to the three-day event of activities spanning from Friday, 16 through Sunday, 18 August at the Prayer City, Kilometer 12, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
“Friday is for the arrival and registration of the guests, Saturday is the main day, when most of the activities will be held, till the wee hours of the next morning, while Sunday, thanksgiving service will be held, to thank God for his kindness to the Ministry in the past 35 years. God has really manifested himself in the lives of MFM members and used the Ministry to bless so many other believers, who have been sharing outstanding testimonies of God’s kindness.
“A lot of preparations have gone into the entire Prayer City to make it wear a new look and accommodate a larger number of participants, Adegbolahan said.
Adegbolahan was joined at the briefing by the AGO in charge of African countries, Pastor Lawrence Olaseinde; the Director of administration, Akin Olawale; Chairman of the convention planning committee, Pastor Abiodun Ladejola; and the Senior Regional Overseer who is also the vice-chairman of the convention planning committee, Pastor Clement Umoru.
Pastor Abiodun Ladejola confirmed that procedures have been implemented to safeguard the safety of people and property, adequate crowd control, and efficient traffic management on the road.
Also, Pastor Umoru, whose role as vice-chairman makes him executive head of the convention planning committee, said concerts will be held during the three-day programme. He further said presentations will also be made by the youth and children while awards will be given to deserving members of the church.
The authorities confirmed that because this is a spiritual practice, the emphasis will be on teachings, music, and prayer.
