Former Senate President and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, has formally joined the governing All Progressives Congress (APC).
On June 29, reports surfaced that the former legislator had defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress.
On Saturday, Abdullahi Ganduje, the party’s national chairman, formally welcomed him into the party, along with other Southeast stakeholders.
The event took place at the Abakaliki Stadium during the party’s rally.
Governors and other party stalwarts including the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma were in attendance.
