Ifeoma Onumonu has been selected for the Super Falcons’ team for the 2024 Olympic Games, replacing the injured Halimat Ayinde.
Ayinde had an injury during training last week, ruling her out of the tournament.
Onumonu, who was chosen as an alternate player by head coach Randy Waldrum, has officially been included in the 18-man squad.
In a related development, forward Regina Otu has been invited as an alternate player.
The Super Falcons are currently in Sevilla, Spain perfecting strategies for the Olympics.
The nine-time African will take on current Olympic champions, Canada in a friendly next Wednesday.
They will depart for Paris, France for the games.
Nigeria will face Spain, Japan and Brazil in Group C.
