Olajide Akinremi, a member of the House of Representatives, has died.

Mr Akinremi, also known as Jagaban, died on Wednesday, although the cause of death is yet unknown.

Until his death, Mr Akinremi represented the Ibadan North Federal Constituency of Oyo State.

As it is the tradition of the National Assembly, plenary and committee activities are to be suspended to allow members to mourn and honour their colleague.
