Brazil will be without Vinicius Junior for the 2024 Copa America quarter-final clash with Uruguay this Sunday.

The Real Madrid winger picked up a yellow card in a feisty group-stage fixture against Colombia and now faces a ban.

Brazil and Colombia clashed on Tuesday night in a battle for the top spot in Group D.

A win for Selecao would have confirmed them as group winners.

Any other result ensures that Colombia claims first place and gets an easier tie in the quarter-finals.

Raphinha gave Brazil the lead in a feisty game that saw countless fouls, many of which involved him and Deiver Machado.

However, it was Vinicius Jr who found himself in disciplinary trouble, catching James Rodriguez with a stray arm in the opening stages.

He was eventually booked for the foul, his second of the tournament so far.
