Didier Deschamps, France’s head coach, has provided a concerning report on Kylian Mbappe following their 1-0 victory against Austria at Euro 2024 on Monday night.
Mbappe left the game at the end with a fractured nose and blood-soaked clothing.
The incident occurred when the Real Madrid attacker clashed with Kevin Danso.
Deschamps told TF1: “Apparently the nose is not good at all. So we’ll see.
“It’s obviously the negative point of the evening. Even if it’s just his nose it’s annoying for us.”
Mbappe is likely to play in the rest of the tournament with a mask.
France plays Netherlands in their next Group D game on Friday night.
