Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara on Sunday, referred to dads as “uplifting ladders” for their children’s future.

On Father’s Day, he released a goodwill message on X.com outlining his viewpoint

The governor wrote, “Let me profoundly congratulate fathers all over the world on the 2024 Fathers’ Day Celebration.

“Fathers are endowed with great capacity for exploits, determination and the shouldering of responsibilities as moral compasses at home and in the society at large.”

Fubara added, “That is why they remain ladders for uplifting our children towards a greater future.”

He expressed deep appreciation for the multifaceted role fathers play, stating, “In deep appreciation of the role of fathers as breadwinners, role models, teachers, leaders, disciplinarians, burden bearers and shapers of the society, it is my fervent prayer that God continues to give them the vigour to weather the storms and odds of life.”
