The focus and determination of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the Governor of Delta State, to fulfil the Meaningful Development component of the MORE Agenda, especially in the delivery of life-impacting infrastructure projects, is incontestable.
As he unequivocally declared on inauguration day, “I am determined to ensure that we embark on developmental initiatives and projects that have significance and purpose.”
This has been amply demonstrated in the Governor’s unwavering commitment to embrace, complete, and deliver major outstanding projects inherited from his predecessor, to the benefit of Deltans.
This admirable leadership thrust has not only established the truism that government is a continuum, it has equally defined him as a shining star and model of how to manage succession politics in a democracy like ours.
It has also firmly established him as a leader and administrator who will not be distracted by political innuendos and shenanigans, in his quest to ensure that only the best is delivered to Deltans.
The latest in the robust and impressive array of projects which Governor Sheriff Oborevwori had pledged to complete and deliver in his desire to ensure Meaningful Development across Delta State, under the excellent MORE Agenda, is the 4.4 km Phase 1 stretch of the Emevor-Orogun Road, in Isoko North LGA of Delta State.
This road holds immense importance for the communities it serves, as the road is expected to provide easier access to essential services, promote commerce and trade, enhance connectivity between the community and its neighbours and ensure the overall mobility of residents and commuters in the area.
Governor Oborevwori had already declared during his inspection of the road, that his administration’s commitment to effective project management and infrastructural development across the three Senatorial zones in the state would be without bias, irrevocable and for the greater good of all Deltans.
The phase 1 of the Emevor-Orogun Road, which was constructed and delivered by an indigenous contractor, thus also underscoring the Opportunities for All Component of the MORE Agenda, will be Commissioned on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 1pm, to the Glory of God and the benefit of Deltans and all who will use the road.
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is working, and Deltans are seeing it!
