President Bola Tinubu has named the M18 route in the Guzape region of the federal capital territory as the Chinua Achebe Expressway.
Olusegun Dada, the president’s Special Assistant on Social Media, stated that the road was commissioned on Saturday before being named after the late renowned author.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Commissions the M18 road infrastructure in Guzape District of Abuja. Names road after Nigerian Novelist and Poet, late Professor Chinua Achebe,” he wrote.
Recall that Achebe was a Nigerian novelist, poet, and critic who was regarded as one of the fathers of modern African literature.
He died in 2013 at the age of 83.
