Finidi George will leave his role as head coach of Nigeria Premier Football League champions Enyimba on Saturday.
The former international winger was recently appointed head coach of the Super Eagles.
The 53-year-old will now leave the two-time African champions to concentrate on his new assignment.
His assistant, Olanrewaju Yemi, will take charge at Enyimba for the remainder of the season.
Enyimba are expected to make an official statement on Finidi’s exit soon.
The former Ajax and Real Betis star spent three seasons with Enyimba.
Finidi guided the Aba giants to their ninth NPFL last season.
The People’s Elephants are currently third on the table.
His first official game in charge of the Super Eagles will be against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa next month.
