The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has instructed the state House of Assembly to promptly begin the impeachment process against Governor Siminialayi Fubara.
The Rivers caretaker committee, CTC of the party led by Tony Okocha, made the announcement on Tuesday in Port Harcourt.
Recall that the governor attacked the Assembly led by Martin Amaewhule on Sunday, claiming that the members no longer exist as legislators under the law.
Fubara also stated that he approved President Bola Tinubu’s peace arrangement following the state’s political turmoil last year in order to restore peace.
The Governor stated that disputes with his former political godfather, Nyesom Wike, prompted him to attend reconciliation sessions.
