A chieftain of the Edo State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Felix Akhabue, has resigned from the party, citing injustice by the party’s leadership as one of the reasons he dumped it.
Akhabue, who participated in the last governorship primary in the state as an aspirant, said: “My decision to resign is born out of the prejudicial activities of the party’s leadership against my fair, reasonable and continuous participation as a member of the party”.
Pundits say, Akhabue from Asue Ighodalo’s Senatorial District, “This single letter of resignation from JOEFEL translates to thousands of votes lost.”
Recall that during the inauguration of the party’s governorship campaign council last weekend, the governor had said: “I will fight them, We will fight them, I will flush them out, they have collected money from other political parties”
Last week, a member of the PDP Board of Trustees and a heavy in the Edo State chapter of the party, has also resigned from the party.
