*Senator Monday Okpebholo (l) in handshake with tipper drivers…Saturday, April 26, 2024

By Steve Adepoju

As the sun began its descent over the horizon, casting a warm glow across the bustling streets of Esanland, Senator Monday Okpebholo, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), embarked on a brief yet meaningful stopover. His destination: the Tipper Drivers Association of Esan.

The hall, a testament to the dedication and vision of the Esan Tipper Drivers Association under the leadership of Prince Sunday Omonzokpia, stood proudly as a symbol of unity and community spirit. It was within these walls that Senator Okpebholo sought to forge a connection with the hardworking men and women who navigated the rugged terrain of Edo State’s roads day in and day out.

As Senator Okpebholo addressed the gathered drivers, his words resonated with empathy and understanding. He acknowledged the challenges they faced, the hardships endured as a result of the crumbling infrastructure that plagued the state’s internal roads.

With sincerity in his voice, Senator Okpebholo assured the drivers that he shared their concerns and would not rest until meaningful change was brought to Edo State. He pledged to prioritize the restoration and expansion of the road networks, recognizing their pivotal role in facilitating commerce, transportation, and ultimately, the prosperity of the entire community.

In that moment, amidst the camaraderie and shared determination, a bond was forged between Senator Okpebholo and the Tipper Drivers Association of Esan. It was a promise of resilience, of standing together in the face of adversity, and of forging a brighter future for generations to come. And as the evening drew to a close, the echoes of hope reverberated within the walls of the hall, a testament to the power of unity and collective action.
