The beleaguered former head of the central bank is being charged for allegedly abusing his position and diverting billions of dollars for himself.
Emefiele and his co-defendant, Henry Isioma Omole, are set to be arraigned before Justice Rahman Oshodi on 26 new counts on Monday.
In the charge marked ID/23787c/2024 and dated April 3, 2024, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, alleged that Emefiele abused his office between 2022 and 2023.
