Service chiefs, on Wednesday, appeared before the Senate Joint Committee, comprising Army, Navy, Defence, and Air Force committees, over the investigation of the killing of 17 soldiers in the Delta State community.

Recall that some military personnel who were on a peacekeeping mission in the state were last Thursday ambushed and murdered last Thursday in the Okuama community in the Ughelli South Local Government Area.

Given the sensitivity of the matter, the chairman of the joint committee, Ahmed Lawan, disclosed that the investigative hearing will be held behind closed doors.
