Nigerian actress, Zainab Balogun has queried why parents organise a baby’s gender reveal separately from a baby shower.
A baby shower is a celebration focused on gift-giving to mark the delivery or anticipated birth of a child, whereas a gender reveal party is a party conducted during pregnancy to disclose the baby’s sex to the expectant parents.
The actress made this known in a post on her Instagram page on Monday, revealing how time-consuming she finds it when these parties are hosted separately.
Zainab asserted that when individuals schedule their gender reveal and baby showers on different days, it results in them having to pay for two different events.
She said, “Gender reveals and baby showers are different events with two guest lists?
“Two separate expenses, same baby!, so we attend the reveal go home and come back for the shower?
“I don’t know, is it excessive?.”
