Former Staff of NTA Condole with ex-DG, Engr Shyngle Wigwe, over Death of Son, Herbert | METROWATCH

Former staff of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) have condoled with their former director-general, Engr. Shyngle Wigwe over the death of his son, Herbert.

Herbert died last weekend in a helicopter crash in the United States. The incident also took the lives of Herbert’s wife, their son and three others.

In the condolence message, signed by Dr. Danladi Bako, the NTA former staff said: “We share the pain and grief of the loss of Herbert and family with Engr Shyngle and Mrs Wigwe and the larger family.”

On behalf of the numerous former staff of the Nigerian Television Authority that served during the eighties and nineties I write this condolence message to our Father figure and former Director General of the NTA Engineer Shyngle Wigwe on the passing away of his son Herbert former CEO Access Holdings , Herberts Wife and son in a ghastly helicopter crash in the United States last weekend.
We share the pain and grief of the loss of Herbert and family with Engr Shyngle and Mrs Wigwe and the larger family.
For me I wish to personally console Engr Wigwe who treated me like his son during all my NTA years . He even personally came to my office in the Villa to congratulate me when I was appointed Director General National Broadcasting Commission in 1999.
May the soul of Herbert , his wife Chizoba and his son rest in peace.
