The head coach of the Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro, may revert to his tested and trusted starting XI for Sunday’s Africa Cup of Nations final against Ivory Coast.
This follows news that Zaidu Sanusi has returned to training with the team.
Sanusi missed the penalty shoot-out victory over South Africa in the semi-final with injury.
The FC Porto wingback is likely to go straight into Peseiro’s starting XI for the match.
Again, Victor Osimhen will be supported in attack by top scorer, Ademola Lookman and Simon Moses.
The 3-4-3 formation Peseiro has reverted to, has William Troost-Ekong, Semi Ajayi and Calvin Bassey shielding Nwabali in defence.
Aina will switch to his natural wing with Sanusi’s inclusion, while Alex Iwobi and Frank Onyeka will occupy the midfield.
Kick off is 9pm WAT.
