Dear Brigadier General SK Usman (rtd) mni,

On behalf of the Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI), I would like to extend my warmest wishes to you on your birthday anniversary today. This special day is not only a celebration of your life but also a recognition of your significant contributions to our association and the nation as a whole.

You are a quintessential gentleman, a hardworking and dedicated member of AANI whose influence on national development, peace, security, and the association itself is truly unquantifiable. Your commitment to excellence and your unwavering dedication to the ideals we hold dear are an inspiration to us all.

As a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and a member of its governing council, you have demonstrated your intellectual prowess by presenting papers at strategic military institutions, seminars, and workshops. Your regular contributions to newspapers on burning national security issues, governance, and strategic communication further showcase your expertise and passion.

Your ability to articulate complex issues with clarity and conviction has made you an invaluable resource for disseminating important information to the public.

It is no exaggeration to say that there has never been such a great Publicity Secretary for AANI in recent times. Your friendly demeanor, remarkable team-playing abilities, and genuine concern for the welfare of fellow members have earned you the well-deserved title of “the people’s General.” Your willingness to go above and beyond to support the association and its goals is truly remarkable.

Your educational accomplishments are equally impressive. With a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from Bayero University Kano and a Master’s degree in Media, Peace, and Conflicts Studies from the United Nations-mandated University, San Jose, Costa Rica, you have demonstrated a commitment to lifelong learning and personal growth. We wish you every success as you embark on your journey towards a PhD in Defence and Security Studies.
